I didn't realize there was more to taking a great photo than point and click By Karen Stowers
I have been wanting a camera for years. I'm sick of using my phone and WOW! did I get a treat. I didn't realize there was more to taking a great photo than point and click. I love it. We're going on vacation next week and we can't wait to use it. This is a great buy. BUT, please Kodak, print the user manual. It was a pain to keep opening my tablet to look up a feature.

And takes good quality pictures By Arianna Romero
Arrived on time, and takes good quality pictures. Light weight and can carry anywhere with me. Got this to take photos of my children, and am very pleased. Video is all good quality. Nothing like a DSLR but it gets the job done.

Would recommend! By Sara C.
Have had this camera for almost five months now, I like to wait a while to write review, just to make sure I have used it enough and have a better idea of just what I think of it! I am very pleased with it! I have used it a lot, uploaded pictures to computer, ordered prints, used indoors and out on various settings, filmed videos too, and so far, I have no complaints whatsoever! This is by far my favorite camera that I've had, and there's been a few! Also, even though it has no bearing on the performance of the camera, I have the white one, an I just love how it looks too!

Kodak...a name you can trust. By Stephen
I really love this camera. Takes great pictures and 29 minute videos. There are a lot of different options for picture taking. This camera is a great buy, I would definitely recommend this Kodak pixpro to anyone looking to purchase a quality digital camera

Nice, but not as good as I expected. By Caroline H Sagal
I thought I would get better pictures with the digital camera over my smart phone pictures, but that is not always the case. Maybe I need more time to understand the camera to get better quality pictures.

Nice camera - IF you are an experienced photographer By Rita L. O'Hare

Nice camera - IF you are an experienced photographer ... Lack of set-up and use instructions disappointing... Just a very basic parts of camera with it ...And the book I ordered at same time did not include this model...Will have to order another book and make sure this model is covered. With camera - we had to guess where certain things were and especially what they did... Still have to get the more complete instruction packet to set up the menu...

Nice camera, especially at this price By MikeM

Got this as a gift from QVC, and got a red one. I've had many digital cameras going back to the beginning of digital photography when they cost a thousand bucks. Still have (and occasionally use) my Kodak DC 290. My main camera has been a Canon Power Shot because of 2 things---it takes AA batteries and it has "SLR-like" controls for shutter/aperture priority. I got to Hawaii once without my lithium battery special charger and had to buy one. Never again. This camera has a lot going for it, and two important ones to me are the same dial with all the SLR functions (shutter, aperture, AE, etc.) and it can charge its (removable) Li Ion battery internally with your micro-USB phone charger. This is a big deal when you are away.

The camera zoom is optical to 42x---not some phony digital zoom number. Stuff looks ok at that length, assuming you have some way to hold the camera steady. Yes, there is a tripod mount. Also a nice flat base (with a little tab under the "lens" area to make sure it can sit flat---like on a table or fence post or something if you forgot a tripod). It starts up fairly quick for a camera with a big lens. The features are too long to list, but they seem to work pretty well. For the money, this is hard to beat. It was so simple to set up I never looked at the manual (in my case, this was online---you only got a "quick start" sheet with the camera). If you've used a relatively recent camera menu, you'll figure this one out fast (my Canon is several years old and is pretty similar). There is enough control here for somebody less than real serious but more than casual. It is too big for a pocket (unless you have cargo pants), but is pretty light.

I like the size of it By Diann K. Schwab

So far I think it will be exactly what I wanted! I haven't had much time to play around with it. I do wish a camera guide would have come with it. I like the size of it.
Nice Camera

I love this little camera!! For the price, I'm actually quite impressed by the camera's photo and video quality. If someone was wanting a nice quality camera at an affordable price, I definitely recommend this one.

Top 10 Good Feedbacks about PANASONIC LUMIX ZS100 4K Point and Shoot Camera on Amazon

Best pocket camera available By Mike W. on August 1, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

I recently took this camera on a 2 week trip to Alaska and was very happy with the results. It will fit in a cargo pocket (barely, and you will know it's there) but it does nicely in a small belt case. I think the pictures turned out very good for the size of the camera. Intelligent auto works great if you don't want to tinker with any of the settings. I took quick pictures in a lot challenging backgrounds and had no problems at all. When you do want to move past intelligent auto, the camera is crammed with features. The viewfinder is nothing special, but it gets the job done (I use the viewfinder for almost all of my pictures). I previously had an LF1 and this camera beats it every way but the size. I tried an RX100 IV and although it's image quality was better than the ZS100, I didn't like the popup (although superior) viewfinder and it can't touch the ZS100 for zoom.

Great camera for travel, street and daily photography By Terry on November 27, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Great camera for travel and street photography. Did not like it as much at first. It takes some time to get used to it. I feel more comfortable using it now. Not really for beginners. I bought a book to help me to understand and may be use the many features. At first I thought the pictures came a little dark, but I made a little adjustment and it is great now.

Some very important things I think are missing.

1. GPS; how in 2016 can a travel camera be without GPS, I do not understand this one. I would give up WIFI for GPS.

2. Holding the camera could be better and impossible with one hand. I bought a rubber grip from flipXpac and now I can use it with one hand, which can be very useful sometimes.

3. One which is only important to me is in the special effects. I would have like to have the "watercolor effect" like Sony has on some of their cameras.

An Impressive Point and Shoot Camera By Lennie S. on May 31, 2017 Color: Silver|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

This is my first Panasonic camera and I am very impressive with the ease of use as well as the quality of the images. I just returned from a three week trip during which I tested my new camera in a variety of daylight and night time settings and was able to create terrific images repeatedly. I would recommend the Lumix ZS100 for anyone seeking a powerful point and shoot camera.

Great Travel Camera - Reviews are right! By Andrew A. Russell on June 3, 2017 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Great Travel Camera. With its RAW format and access to Adobe Photoshop, I can achieve results similar to my Micro 4/3rds G3. This is a really solid camera with a good zoom range so I can pull of some great shots. I have expensive cameras that I never take with me. This is my "Take Everywhere" camera, and I'm getting by just fine!

Very nice. By Kerrpe on June 27, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Bought as a companion point and shoot camera for my OMD EM1, and for photos at concerts - and for this purpose it's awesome. Pocketable (just), the IQ is fine for me and it's a great traveling companion. Can't beat the sensor size / zoom combo.

Wonderful little camera. By Carolyn Bell on July 28, 2016 Color: Silver|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Great little camera. I bought it for non-photographer boyfriend and he adores it. I chose it for the 10x optical zoom not realizing it is also a very high-quality lens. The camera on full automatic is amazing smart, recognizing portraits vs landscapes vs macros and setting the focal length accordingly. Wow.

Best travel pocket camera on the market. By Daniel M. Gershwin on October 9, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Best travel camera made. Still learning to use all of the features. I'm sure in the next year or two you'll be able to get a 1 inch sensor with a 600mm zoom which would be the ultimate travel camera. Until then, you can't beat this.

Great travel camera. By K Sidney on July 21, 2016 Color: Silver|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Got this Camera based on stellar reviews on-line when looking for a quality travel camera. Takes great photos in the auto modes. Numerous times, however, when holding the camera my finger would touch the edge of the touchscreen and set the focus there by mistake.

Good photos By Scotty on December 22, 2017 Color: Silver|Style: Camera Only|Verified Purchase

Great camera for the size. Overall I think the photo quality is great. The camera feels a little cheap in the hand though. I feel like it can easily break, but no issues otherwise.

Good but Sony rx100 m4 won for me. By S. Healy on April 19, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Camera Only

I spent a lot of time with this camera and took the rx100 m4 along for the ride. The pros :

Descent still image quality.

Good slow motion Video at about 100 fps

Post focus was cool.

4K burst was good at getting the shot but...

Good zoom

Cons:

4K burst produced blurry images for me most of the time.

Image quality at zoom was just ok. I know what can you expect.

Camera did not feel as solid as the Sony.

No flip screen.

Evf was a joke. Awfully.

I wanted the zoom but I just loved holding the Sony and loved it's 1.8 image quality. Plus slow motion of 960fps was fun.

Plus the raw files were not compatible with iPhoto or aperture. Boo

Top Posity Feedbacks about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV 20.1 MP Digital Still Camera on Amazon

1. Awesome Point and Shoot camera By R. Williams on February 22, 2016 Style: Base|Color: Black|Verified Purchase

I have a small photography business that I run on the side along with my primary job as a consultant. I normally use a Nikon D810 and several lenses. The Nikon performs great as one would expect. I purchased this camera to have a small point and shoot to take with me to places that I did not want to haul a full size camera and lenses. My primary need for this camera was portability and picture quality. Movie capability was secondary for me so I can't really address that.

This little camera has totally exceeded my expectations. Even on auto, it does an amazing job of selecting the right combination of ISO, shutter speed and f stop. Sony has a home run with this one.

So what tests have I put this camera through. The toughest test so far have been on a river boat in NYC at night and sunset in Jamaica. You would not expect a small sensor camera of this size to be able to take good night time shots of NYC from a moving, rocking boat. The quality of pictures I was able to produce were amazing. It does a wonderful job of knowing what the shooting conditions are and automatically adjusting appropriately. When shooting sunset pictures, I was expecting that I might see some flair from the sun, but not was present in any of the shots. All of the photos below are JPGs straight out of the camera except for the sunset. I did boost color a bit on the sunset picture. My photo samples were intended to highlight the capabilities of the camera and were not chosen for their artistic content.

Pros: Well built camera with a ton of capability for it's size. I expect that it is the best or one of the test sub $1K cameras available. Auto exposure mode works amazingly well. Sony has a winner here!

Cons: Expensive Point and Shoot. Batter life is poor. Note that off brand batteries are available and the ones that I purchased worked as good as the Sony batteries. The other "con" perhaps is complexity. To fully utilize the capabilities of this camera you will need to spend some quality time with the manual.

The bottom line is that this is a top quality camera if a very portable package. It will rival DSLRs that cost much more in many situations.

2. Great pocket sized alternative to a DSLR By G. Garrick on May 4, 2016 Style: Base|Color: Black|Verified Purchase

This is a great camera that takes great photos in anything from several full-auto modes to manual. It's a bit slower to use than a DSLR in terms of focus, adjustment of settings, and shutter reaction, but it's pocket sized whereas carrying a DSLR is pretty inconvenient. And of course you don't have TTL viewing for framing your shots (if you don't know what that means, then get this not a DSLR). I've actually had several versions of these starting with version 1 and when a new version comes out I sell the old one and upgrade.

3. After 10 months and reading the reviews is this By Brian Moore on March 2, 2016 Style: Base|Color: Black|Verified Purchase

I refuse to give anything less than five stars. The photo sensor is 4 to 6 times larger than one on a smartphone but slightly smaller than a dslr one. Manual controls and nr filter are rare commodities these days especially 1/32000 shutter speed. High dynamic range is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Now for the bad news which I wish wasn't true. Yes like most 1-star reviews it really does overheats during 1080 HD and 4K video and I wish I can do something about it. There is a spot on the front lense so I do not recommend taking the camera in rainy weather conditions.

4. Incredibly versatile camera that takes amazing photographs By Steve on August 5, 2015 Style: Base|Color: Black

The biggest misconception with this camera is that the only improvement the Mark IV has over the Mark III is 4k video. The new chip design sandwiches the DRAM underneath the sensor, a first for DSLR cameras, which allows for features such as High Frame Rate to shoot video up to 1000 FPS (the resolution unfortunately gets cropped the higher the frame rate). There is also burst mode that can take 16 shots a second at full resolution. For beginners, the auto focus is quicker to respond than prior iterations which can lead to better photo results. Lastly, the new camera speed allows for photographs to be taken at 1/32000 a second (capturing moments such as the instant a water balloon pops or taking a photo directly in the sun without needed a lens hood). If you have a Mark III, it's probably not worth upgrading but if you're looking for a small compact camera and debating whether or not the Mark IV is worth the extra $150, I'd say it is for these added features.

5.Wonderful small yet powerful camera By RICHARD A. on December 22, 2015 Style: Base|Color: Black

I have the Sony RX100 111 and I love it. Possibly the clearest pictures I have ever seen. Easy to use. Stores in your jacket pocket. Has auto mode. Just point and shoot. Or fiddle with the adjustments. Only drawback is short telephoto. But rather short than long with bad contrast. This is one of the smallest cameras on the market. And it is jammed packed full of to days state of the art technology.
